Overview
The Senior Executive Procurement & Sourcing plays a crucial role in managing the procurement and sourcing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization. This role involves strategic planning, supplier management, and negotiation to optimize procurement processes and achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs
- Identify and onboard new suppliers while maintaining relationships with existing ones
- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure quality and reliability
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Assess and mitigate procurement risks through thorough analysis and proactive measures
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and address procurement needs
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to inform sourcing decisions
- Oversee the procurement of goods and services while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
- Participate in budget planning and cost control initiatives
- Utilize procurement software and tools to optimize sourcing and purchasing processes
- Manage the procurement team and provide guidance and support as needed
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and practices
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in procurement and sourcing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of procurement regulations and best practices
- Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities
- Project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives to completion
- Knowledge of market trends and industry dynamics in relevant procurement categories
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards in procurement and sourcing
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus
- Experience in leading and developing a procurement team
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
- Procurement or purchasing function of an established UAE or GCC based company. is Mandatory
- .operational experience in the exhibitions, hospitality, event
- management or F&B fields will be considered
- English and Arabic Speaking is mandatory for this position
