We are looking to hire a Senior Advisory Finance Consultant specializing in investments, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financial strategy. Demonstrated expertise in driving business growth through effective financial planning, analysis, and advisory for our client based in Dubai a leading semi-governmental entity.
The role sits within the Finance Department.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 3 months and is renewable.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies to achieve business growth and optimize profitability. Lead M&A initiatives, including valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and post-merger integration. Provide strategic advisory on investment opportunities, portfolio management, and risk assessment.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making processes. Develop and maintain management reporting systems to track financial performance and KPIs. Assist in creating financial forecasts and budgets for investment projects and private equity initiatives.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, offering actionable insights. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Process Optimization & Team Leadership drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency. Lead and mentor finance teams, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Cash Flow & Risk Management monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring an optimal capital structure and liquidity. Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Presentation build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives, board members, investors, and financial institutions. Prepare and deliver compelling financial decks and presentations to communicate key insights, investment opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
- 12 -15 years of progressive experience in finance, with 57 years in financial reporting, FP&A, and strategy.
- Ideally, 3+ years of experience in investment, private equity, or M&A, preferably within a reputable MNC or consulting firm.
- Proven experience in developing management reporting, financial decks, and investment presentations.
- Previous tenure in a Big 4 accounting firm is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel, including modeling and analysis.
- Expertise in financial forecasting, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
- Skilled in creating impactful decks and presentations tailored for high-level stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
- Adaptability to dynamic environments and the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
