We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to oversee the accounting function within the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Someone else is responsible for the FP&A.
This senior management role reports directly to the Head of Finance. As a member of the regional finance leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a team of functional managers and enhancing the region's financial operations.
This position is responsible for the accounting and fiscal operations of the company in the MEA region. Key responsibilities include maintaining accounting systems, implementing robust control frameworks to mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with international financial reporting standards, and supporting fiscal transparency and accuracy. Someone with a strong audit background would suit.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial procedures, controls, and accounting policies that strengthen governance, transparency, and consistency across the MEA region.Advise on corporate structures within the MEA region to optimize financial outcomes.Act as deputy for the Head of Finance MEA as needed.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on integrity and compliance.Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards
- Supervise formal balance sheet reviews.Lead statutory audits for all regional entities, ensuring timely filings and accurate reporting to both Group and regional regulators.Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and maintain close collaboration with group treasury for accurate cash position reporting.
- Act as primary support for Tax, Accounts Payable, and Payroll matters.Manage relationships with regional banking partners to ensure appropriate funding levels for short-term liabilities.
- Lead automation initiatives and ERP/system implementations in collaboration with the global finance team.
- Build strong working relationships, influencing stakeholders, and presenting at regional meetings.
- Manage and develop the global SSC
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years experience in managing and developing finance teams, with a background in accounting, financial reporting, and systems improvement.
- Chartered Accountant qualification
- Proven experience in the Middle East region.
- Advanced Excel skills, high accuracy, and strong attention to detail.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to assess situations and devise effective solutions.
- Ability to evaluate alternative strategies for resolving complex financial issues.
- Experience in a VAT and CIT environment, as well as in payroll management.Effective interpersonal skills to engage and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with offshore shared service centres is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in delivering timely results in a high-paced environment.
SALARY: AED 40-50k.
