The Senior Specialist, Finance provides critical insight through data analysis, P&L modeling, and financial monitoring to support stakeholders in making informed decisions that drive HALCON's success. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, oversees budgeting, and supports investment strategies, contributing to the company's financial health and regulatory compliance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Budget Oversight: Lead the review, monitoring, and management of budgets, contributing to long-term business planning and ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Project Governance: Develop governance structures for projects, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial management.
- Investment Strategy: Advise on investments and develop strategies to minimize financial risks.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze costs, pricing, and profitability, comparing actual performance against business plans to identify improvement areas.
- Cost Reduction: Conduct reviews and evaluations to find cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.
- Return on Investment: Evaluate financial performance and measure returns on investments to inform strategic decisions.
- Auditor Collaboration: Liaise with auditors to ensure ongoing financial compliance and appropriate financial monitoring.
- Financial Reporting: Review financial data, preparing accurate monthly and annual reports to support decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, ensuring the company's financial operations comply with accounting policies and standards.

Experience & Education Qualifications
Minimum:
- Experience: 8+ years in finance and operations with specific exposure to financial planning, budget control, and leading a finance team.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Experience: Additional experience within a finance leadership role, particularly in high-stakes, operational finance.
- Certifications: CA / CPA / CIMA / ACA / ACS / ACWA / MBA.
