Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Accountant located in Qesm El Maadi. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards, preparing financial statements, and managing financial reporting and analysis. The Chief Accountant will also be responsible for managing the company's budget and forecasting, cash flow management, and tax compliance.
- financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, including forecasting revenue and expenses, monitoring variances, and providing financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, including liaising with auditors, providing necessary documentation, and addressing audit findings and recommendations.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements, including preparation and submission of tax returns, and provide support during tax audits and inquiries.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and performance evaluations to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- ERP Implementation and Maintenance: Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of accounting software systems, ensuring integration with other business systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, financial reporting, and analysis
- Experience in managing financial operations including budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, and tax compliance
- Proficiency in accounting ERP
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
