Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Financial Planning analyst to join our finance team.
This role will play a critical part in shaping our financial strategy and supporting key business decisions through detailed analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management: Manage and maintain databases of financial records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- P&L / GL Data Integrity: Conduct thorough checks on Profit and Loss (P&L) and General Ledger (GL) data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Variance Analysis: Identify and research variances in forecasts, budgets, and prior-year expenses, proactively uncovering opportunities for improvement. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Month-End Closing: Monitor month-end closing processes, expertly analyze trial balances, and reallocate expenses across departments and projects.
- Financial Reporting: Create financial analysis reports and models. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key trends, variances, and performance metrics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather relevant data and provide financial insights to support Financial Planning & Budgeting initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in financial databases and reporting tools.
- Advanced analytical skills, with experience in variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data integrity and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
