We are seeking a creative and experienced Full Stack Developer & Google Ads Lead to manage and optimize LCN's digital platforms towards advancing our mission of organized people power!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As theFull Stack Developer & Google Ads Leadat Leading Change Network (LCN), you will be the go-to person for our website, which is a core platform for delivering impactful programs and enabling membership engagement. As a key member of our team, you will use your technical prowess and strategic insights to optimize the use of, improve, and manage our website efficiently, and drive impactful Google Ads campaigns.

Website Development & Management

• Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our website, ensuring it is intuitive, user-friendly, visually appealing, provides a positive user experience (UX) for all users, meets accessibility and accommodation standards, and optimally serves LCN's goals and its members.
• Oversee website hosting and domain management, including renewal, configuration, and troubleshooting. Ensure optimal performance and uptime by managing hosting settings and addressing any issues that arise.
• Monitor website performance, including load times, functionality, and mobile responsiveness, and address issues as needed.
• Offer technical guidance for core functions within our website, utilizing tools including (but not limited to) WordPress and the Avada theme.
• Manage the budget allocated for the website and plug-ins, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Implement and oversee website security measures to protect against threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access. Regularly add, update, and monitor security protocols and tools.

Website Engagement & Optimization

• Collaborate with team members to implement content updates, website updates, feature enhancements, and performance improvements.
• Assist in creating digital pages, events, and structuring data on the website.
• Support membership processes, disseminate information, and enhance membership engagement through the website including the Resource Centre and our member-only section.
• Analyze website data pertaining to supporter and member engagement, providing insights to optimize recruitment and engagement efforts.
• Collaborate with team members to align LCN's use of its digital platforms and digital optimize workflows, membership engagement, and communications.
• Quality Assurance (such as ensuring that pages are properly set up, images well displayed, no broken links, no typos or language mistakes, and ensuring consistency of theme, color, font, layout, etc)
• Provide technical support, guidance, and training to team members and LCN operations.

SEO Optimization & Google Ads

• Create engaging Google ads aimed at increasing engagement and optimize website content, meta tags, images, and internal linking to enhance search engine visibility.
• Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, increase website traffic, and drive lead generation.
• Promote LCN and its offerings to boost event sign-ups, membership, and engagement.
• Monitor ad performance (including conducting keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO audits) and refine strategies to maximize engagement.
• Track and analyze website and SEO performance metrics and data related to supporter and member engagement using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO software.
• Create and present regular reports on SEO performance, traffic trends, and campaign effectiveness to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to develop SEO-friendly content strategies that drive engagement and conversion.
• Stay updated with industry trends and search engine algorithm changes to adapt strategies accordingly.

WHAT YOU BRING (Skills & Experience)

Website

• Design:Strong understanding of web design and development principles, including optimization for various devices including mobiles and tablets.
• WordPress and Avada Theme:Technical proficiency in WordPress and familiarity with the Avada theme to effectively manage and optimize our website.
• Plug-ins:Proficient in managing and configuring plug-ins to enhance website functionality and performance, with a strong understanding of integrating and optimizing plug-ins for WordPress
• Data-Driven Decision Making:Utilize Google Analytics to make informed decisions based on real-time data, user behavior insights, and performance metrics.
• Membership Support:Ability to support membership processes, disseminate information, and enhance engagement through effective utilization of the website.
• Data Structuring:Skill in creating pages, events, and structuring data on the website to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Analytical Insight:Capability to analyze website data related to supporter and member engagement, providing insights to optimize recruitment and engagement efforts.

SEO Optimization & Google Ads

• SEO Proficiency:Proficient in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz), content management systems (e.g., WordPress), and web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Ad Creation:Proven ability to create engaging Google Ads to increase engagement within Leading Change Network.
• Promotional Strategy:Develop and execute promotional strategies to increase sign-ups and engagement.
• Performance Monitoring:Experience in monitoring ad performance and refining strategies to maximize engagement.
• Data Analysis:Proficient in analyzing data related to supporter and member engagement through Google Ads, providing insights to enhance recruitment and engagement effectiveness.

Training & Team Collaboration

• Provide Support:Provide comprehensive training to tech support staff for LCN workshops, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle technical aspects efficiently.
• Drive Technical Capabilities:Continuously assess and enhance the technical skill set of the support team to adapt to evolving workshop requirements.
• Team-Oriented Approach:Demonstrate a team-oriented approach by actively participating in team meetings and discussions.
• Collaborative Work:Foster a collaborative work environment by contributing insights and understanding the broader organizational objectives.

Other

• Analytical Thinking:Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Communication:Excellent English communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in more than one language is desirable.

• This is intended as ahalf-time positionwith a weekly commitment of 20 hours per week.
