Responsibilities:
- Responsible for financial reporting and planning function of the organization in relation to the guidelines, directions and standards laid down by the regulators and strengthening Internal Controls over financial reporting and transaction processing.
- Publication of financial statements as per IFRS standards, monthly and annual, as well as manage the statutory annual audit with the independent auditors.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting & transaction processing across the organization and recommends actions based on analysis of results as and when required.
- Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts & provide analytical insight during monthly financial close process.
- Time and accurate preparation of budgets and forecasts and Responsible for financing arrangements with lending institutions.
- Responsible for the Financial module and accuracy of data in the MS D365 ERP system
- Report to management about asset utilization and audit results and recommend changes in operations and financial activities.
- Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
- Tax planning and filing of VAT, ESR and Corp tax returns within timelines across the countries of operation.
- Manage banking relationships across countries of operation.
- Guiding, motivating and supervising finance staff and arrange training to on their career development.
- Other work and responsibilities as advised by the management.
Technology:
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software Microsoft D65 preferred.
- Financial analysis reports using Power BI and D365 ERP
- MS Applications Advanced user of MS Excel. Board ppt presentations, analysis documents
Knowledge:
- Economics and Accounting Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language for reporting
- Mathematics Knowledge of arithmetic, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Administration and Management Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Education:
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- ACCA Qualification
Experience:
- Big 4 experience preferred.
- 8+ years of experience with 3 or more years in a similar role for a Retail dominated organization
