About the role Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Sr. Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource functions, including Payroll, Benefits, Personnel Administration, Medical Coverage, Social insurance.
Responsibilities
- Employee & Associate Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee and facilitate the smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for new hires and departing employees/associates. Ensure all necessary paperwork, training, and system access are completed efficiently.
- HR Administration: Manage and maintain accurate records for employees and associates, handle HR-related documentation, and respond to inquiries related to benefits, payroll, and other employee/associate concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Employee & Associate Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee/associate questions and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies, resolving workplace issues, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Performance Management: Assist in the execution of the performance review process for both employees and associates, including gathering feedback, coordinating evaluations, and supporting performance improvement plans to promote individual and team growth.
- Compliance: Ensure HR practices and policies are compliant with local employment laws, and stay informed about changes in legislation to maintain legal compliance and mitigate risk.
- People Analytics: Generate and analyze HR data to provide actionable insights into employee/associate engagement, retention, and performance.
- Learning & Development: Assist in coordinating training programs, internships, and development opportunities for employees and associates, supporting professional growth and skill enhancement across the organization.
- Payroll Support: Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing, including updating employee/associate files tracking vacation and sick leave.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist, with a strong background across all key HR functions.
- HR Expertise: In-depth knowledge in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and HR compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Knowledge of HR software and systems is a plus.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Additional Qualifications: Any additional HR certifications or specialized will be considered a strong asset.
