About The Role
We are actively seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer in our UAE offices (Dubai or Abu Dhabi). The selected candidate for this position will be expected to work across a wide range of mechanical engineering knowledge areas and have a desired focus area in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning related work.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
- Performing design and engineering work in various areas of the mechanical discipline. The majority of the work will be related to heating, ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC);
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details associated with mechanical engineering projects.
- Developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for early stages of the project life cycle.
- Creating design drawings utilizing Revit 3D design software.
- Conducting or participating in investigative energy assessments to identify energy and cost savings measures.
- Assessing and designing building ventilation systems based on requirements for heat removal in industrial spaces and maintaining indoor air quality.
- Conducting spreadsheet analysis to assess the energy and cost savings of proposed energy conservation measures (ECMs)
- Utilizing building modeling software (HAP or IES) to determine envelope heat gains/losses and assess savings potentials of ECMs.
- Specifying mechanical equipment
- Designing plumbing and building utility piping systems
- Summarizing engineering results in written reports and/or presentations that are cohesive and of the highest quality.
- Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to MMLs Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
Candidate Specifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems (minimum 5 years)
- Licensed professional engineer strongly preferred
- Ability to foster a creative engineering environment
- Strong communication skills, (both in written and verbal)
- Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the mechanical engineering discipline
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software preferred
