Connexa Recruitment are working in partnership with an award-winning International Architectural Design practice who are looking for an Senior Interior Designer (Site-Based) in there Dubai office.
Position Summary:
Senior Interior Designer to oversee site operations and construction supervision. This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision & Quality Control
- Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with approved design specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections to monitor quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with contractors, subcontractors, and trades to resolve any issues that arise on-site, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Generate site reports, snag lists, and punch lists to track project progress and document any modifications needed to meet quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary on-site representative, ensuring client expectations are managed with clarity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing concerns, setting realistic expectations, and navigating any changes required.
- Demonstrate strength of character and diplomacy when managing client expectations, especially during challenging project phases.
- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, fostering a cooperative, transparent work environment.
Project Management
- Oversee project timelines and resources, ensuring all site activities are coordinated and stay within project scope.
- Work within the programmes provided by contractors, suppliers, and the lead consultant to avoid delays and maintain momentum on project milestones.
- Ensure all materials and finishes align with approved specifications and are handled properly on-site.
Documentation & Reporting
- Review and provide initial approval on all shop drawings. Seek approval of OMN delivery team for final approval to proceed.
- Prepare as required detailed site reports and monitor project closeout processes, ensuring all requirements are met for a successful handover.
- Review and sign off on completed works, ensuring all punch list items are addressed to the highest standard.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in site supervision within interior design fit out, specific to projects of a large scale and level of detail.
- At least 5 years of experience should be specific to the GCC
- Proficient in AutoCAD and project documentation software. Knowledge of Revit is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, finishes, and safety regulations.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage client expectations professionally and diplomatically.
