Senior Legal Counsel, Dubai

Pennell Hart is currently working with a Dubai based Master Developer who oversees the construction and development of infrastructure, residential communities, commercial spaces and specialized districts. The company works across a wide range of sectors including logistics, construction and projects, renewable energy, IT and telecommunications.

The Position:

This will be a diverse role that requires a solution focused attitude and the ability to work confidently with senior members of the team, subsidiaries and various business units and departments on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will have a high degree of autonomy and be responsible for negotiating, reviewing, and drafting a wide range of corporate and commercial documents, which would include financing documents, joint venture agreements, share purchase agreements, leases, IT / IP license agreements, concession agreements and some involvement in contentious matters. This is a varied position and applicants must be able to demonstrate their willingness to take on different projects.Other legal matters that you may be involved with include compliance and dispute resolution as well as being involved in the mentoring of more junior team members.

Does this sound like you

The successful candidate will have started their career by initially working for at least 4 years with a well-known international law firm followed by a few years of working in house within a corporate. You will already be based in the UAE with at least one year of regional experience. Ideally suited candidates for this mandate will have between 6 and 10 years PQE (UK equivalent).
