Senior Legal Counsel

Role Overview:
Uqudo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. Reporting to the Administration Manager, the Senior Legal Counsel will play a critical role in providing legal support across various aspects of our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B SaaS, Venture Backed Finance, and Fintech-related law, with experience working within the MENA region.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently handle a wide range of legal matters, including contract drafting, review, and negotiation, corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
Provide legal guidance and support to internal stakeholders on day-to-day legal issues, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess legal risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.
Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, keeping abreast of changes that may impact the business.
Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and best practices to support organizational growth and compliance.
Work closely with outsourced legal counsel on specialized topics, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to address complex legal matters.
Support corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and integration activities, as needed.
Manage legal documentation and records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Law or related field; JD or equivalent degree preferred.
Admission to practice law in the MENA region.
10+ years of experience in legal roles, with a focus on B2B SaaS, Venture Backed Finance, and Fintech-related law.
Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, intellectual property, and data privacy regulations.
Proven ability to work autonomously and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research capabilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Experience working with outsourced legal counsel is a plus.
