Sr. Legal Specialist with expertise in proposals, RFPs, and contract management to join our team. The Sr. Legal Specialist will play a key role in supporting the organization's bidding process, reviewing and compiling contracts, and ensuring compliance with Government Tenders and Procurement Law. This position requires a strong understanding of legal requirements, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage contract revisions and negotiations.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from government agencies and other entities, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Draft and compile comprehensive proposals, including legal documentation, in response to RFPs and other bidding opportunities.
- Review and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring that terms and conditions align with legal standards and organizational policies.
- Amend and revise consulting contracts in line with Government Tenders and Procurement Law, addressing any legal issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, finance, and project management, to ensure alignment on contract terms and deliverables.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to inform contract negotiations and compliance efforts.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records, documentation, and correspondence to track contract status and obligations.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law or related field; specialized training in contract law or procurement is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a legal role with a focus on proposals, contracts, and government procurement processes.
- Strong knowledge of Government Tenders and Procurement Law, as well as contract drafting and negotiation principles.
- Experience in reviewing and compiling complex legal documents, such as proposals, RFP responses, and consulting contracts.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional certification or licensure as a practicing attorney is preferred.
