Overview The Senior Manager Bus Operation Delivery with a minimum of 12 years managerial experience shall oversee all Bus operation services and activities performed by the Bus Operator and verify that they are carried out safely and in accordance with the Contract and to the Employer s satisfaction. His main responsibility is to manage the contract of the Bus Operator, which is a multi-billion contract. He will be leading a team of experts that shall monitor, report and manage the Bus Operator delivery in terms of deployment of the network, timetables and related planning activities, contractual and performance KPIs, optimization of the bus network service, incident response, SOP compliance, maintenance regime, etc Role and Responsibilities
Oversee start of operations through all the phases of the Bus and ITS Contractors activities to verify that all the contractual requirements are fully met.
Be responsible for the ongoing day to day delivery of passenger services in accordance with the KPI Regime and best market practices. Safety and excellence will be at the heart of all these services.
Bus Operation Expert shall be responsible for start of the operations, station and depots including all the inspections that are required as per the agreed SOPs.
The Bus Operation Expert will be leading the operations on a 24/7 basis for resolving incidents, accidents and emergencies that may occur on the Bus Project.
He will be leading the development of the operations and maintenance manual.
He will also supervise the Operations Control Centre (bus operations) and coordinate special situations like crisis coordination, disaster recovery, etc.
He will produce reports for the PMS team to be presented to the client on punctuality, kilometers, and all required KPI reports.
Bus Operations expert will compare operational data from ITS systems and inspections status prior to preparing the reports for the client.
Crisis management procedures.
Ensure that operational experts from his team are available on a 24-7-365 basis to attend major incidents, accidents and crises that may occur.
Should any incident occur, he shall promptly be present at the scene, provide advice and support to the client s senior management or their representation until the situation is brought under control.
Will support and report to the Project Director.
Support the Senior Manager to produce reports based on such incidents and maintain them for further investigation as required.
Any mitigations on incidents will be coordinated with specialists and third parties, these will be followed up to ensure no such incidents occurs in the future.
Coordinate with the Journey Planner expert in ensuring a smooth experience for the commuters.
