Participate with the Project Engineer and specialized consultants in the Pre-Concept, Concept (defining the BODR), Scheme and Detailed Design stages including full design of every part and component of the project by collaboration of all concerned parties.
Interface with related stakeholders and consultants to obtain their requirements and ensure the timely communication of the project information, materials and relevant data.
Propose to the development department the MEP systems in the project in line with the relevant codes and the nature of the project, to obtain their comments / approval.
Advise on the general approach of the layout, design and construction from the MEP and infrastructure aspects; and provide necessary documents to obtain required statutory approvals.
Prepare / oversee the preparation of the MEP design briefs, studies of user requirements, technical aspects, site conditions, planning, design, and building in use as necessary; and give technical recommendations.
Review the MEP Design submissions in all phases to make sure design meets approved BODR and allocated budget, and report on any deviations.
Conduct value engineering sessions to optimize the proposed MEP systems to be in line with the project positioning and requirements in a timely manner.
Oversee the preparation of Tender Documents including drawings specifications, BOQs and any relevant production information in sufficient detail; hold pretender briefing for potential contractors to ensure they have a good project understanding; and obtain As-built drawings following the practical completion of the project.
Interface with Operations team to obtain Operations Design input and develop Operational / Maintenance Strategy.
Report on development and monitor the unit performance against the vision and KPIs for the project.
Job Requirements:
Mechanical Engineer 8-10 Years of experience, from which minimum if 3 years working for a real estate developer.
Comprehensive knowledge of computer-aided design AUTOCAD & REVIT software and tools related to HVAC discipline.
Good knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel.
Previous experience in high reputed Consultant Engineering Companies is preferable.
Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical design standards and codes and equipment selection
Comprehensive knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, Egyptian code & international standards.
Perfect communication skills.
Previous experience in different type of projects (Hospitality, Commercial, Residential & Mixed Use).
