Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer at MAC in Riyadh and Jeddah. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as mechanical engineering, machine design, computer-aided design (CAD), project management, and research and development (R&D).
Role Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Led the design and development of mechanical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Analysis and Testing: Conduct rigorous analysis, simulations, and testing of mechanical systems to validate performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design reports, and project plans.
- Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot engineering issues, developing effective solutions that enhance product performance and manufacturability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, as well as production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams, to ensure alignment and project success.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, implementing best practices for design and engineering processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant regulatory and safety standards, conducting risk assessments as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in product design and development.
- Mechanical Engineering and Design skills
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Experience in managing engineering projects, with strong organizational and leadership skills
- Research and Development (R&D) skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
