Senior Merchandiser/Planner - Sports

Reporting to: Head of Sports for Namshi

What you'll do:

• Managing and preparing the divisional budgets and forecasts
• Ensuring all financial KPI's are being met or exceeded
• Managing product life cycles and ensuring appropriate ranging decisions are made
• Influence, manage and develop the assortment strategy alongside Buying counterpart
• Ensure the assortment and ranging policies are aligned to the wider business strategy
• Re-Planning and forecasting of the relevant variables including OTB, sales, margin, profit, stock turn and margin mix highlighting opportunities, threats and required action
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional team members
• Monitor the buying critical path to ensure timely decision making
• Ensure best in class data driven approach to reporting, analytics, planning and in season management
• Lead, motivate & grow a team of Merchandisers
• Recap and analyze actual sales results vs plan and forecast in-season sales and inventory on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
• Prepare innovative ad-hoc financial analysis for management as needed

What you'll need:

• Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or comparable field experience
• 5+ years of Merchandising experience in the fashion e-commerce space
• Experience in leading a small data driven team, with a successful track record
• Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent financial and analytical skills
• General retail skills and business acumen
• Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently on simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure in an environment of constant change and shifting priorities.
• Solid understanding of financial measurements including sales, gross margin, inventory turn, ST%, weeks of supply and how to impact them
• Must have excellent time-management and organizational skills
