The post holder is responsible for delivering and supervising high-quality primary care and nursing services to eligible staff members and their dependants.The role emphasizes supervising routine health surveillance, pre-employment medical examinations, effective management of chronic conditions and health promotion activities. The nurse will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to address any healthcare needs of patients, ensure staff meet fitness standards and appropriately refer patients to medical teams for further evaluation. Additionally, the nurse must be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services as needed ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the patient.
Senior Emergency Response Nurse
.Supervise and coordinate rapid assessments and interventions for patients experiencing medical emergencies or trauma, ensuring effective response protocols are followed.
.Work closely with healthcare professionals and emergency services to supervise coordinated responses to emergencies, enhancing the effectiveness of patient care.
.Lead collaboration with emergency response nurses to deliver essential nursing care, overseeing the transition of patients to advanced treatment facilities.
.Oversee the execution of health assessments, vaccination administration, health screenings, and chronic condition management within the practice setting, ensuring best practices are followed.
.Direct thorough patient assessments, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and care coordination in both emergency and routine contexts to optimize patient outcomes.
.Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of patient assessment records, treatments, and outcomes, enforcing compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
.Identify areas for training programs for employees on first aid, CPR, emergency response protocols, and health promotion strategies, fostering a knowledgeable workplace.
.Manage the inventory and maintenance of emergency medical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness and compliance for prompt deployment.
.Lead participation in health campaigns, outreach programs, and wellness initiatives to promote health and safety awareness within the community.
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Nursing, DHA license as RN
BLS and ACLS
Experience:
Emergency Response nurse: Minimum of 8 years nursing experience/ with Minimum of 4 years field emergency response nursing.
Knowledge/skills
Strong clinical skills with in-depth knowledge of first response procedures, routine healthcare practices, and emergency protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the ability to lead diverse teams, facilitate collaboration, and provide clear instructions.
Capability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise critical thinking with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies to ensure compliance and best practices in patient care.
