Senior Officer Data Quality

Position Purpose Summary:

The Analytics Directorate is responsible for providing robust decision support to beIN businesses with a particular focus on content acquisition and distribution, customer acquisition and retention. To fulfill its mission, the Analytics Directorate has deployed an in-house data science platform.

The Senior Officer Data Quality will support the Senior Manager Advanced Analytics, in ensuring that beIN benefits from a world-class and robust data science platform, data model, and data quality assurance function.

Success in this role will be measured by the quality of the data governance framework, the integration with the other members of the Analytics Directorate and the wider stakeholders (IT, Information Security), and the efficiency gains delivered to the data scientists who might spend more time developing revenue generating models than processing data as a result of this role.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

This role is an exciting opportunity to join beIN and work within the Analytics Directorate. As Senior Officer Data Quality, you will help ensure that the Analytics Directorate has the data they need to influence the commercial direction of the business:

1. Develop and maintain the in-house data science platform:
2. Be the DataOps of the platform: it applies principles from DevOps, Agile Development and the statistical process control to improve the cycle time of extracting value from data analytics. It integrates parts of data integration, data quality, data security, and data privacy with operations
3. Own the business and technical processes related to the management of the data science platform.
4. Ensure data meets group information security policies, working with the Information Security Directorate
5. Contribute to the Microsoft and Google Cloud Projects that the MENA business undertakes

1. Develop and maintain a data model answering to the needs of beIN's data scientists, analysts and business users, including a roadmap that demonstrates the time frame for future data integration/improvements across the region.

1. Responsible to put in place agile data quality assurance processes allowing to minimise the time to production

Collaborate with the departments of the Analytics Directorate to maximise the business value from analytics and drive the reputation of the Analytics Directorate across beIN.

Experience:

• 5+ years experience in data engineering or business intelligence engineering with strong experience in programming and SQL and hands-on analytical experience on large volumes of data
• Strong experience with data engineering in the Google Cloud product suite

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Technology or similar field. Professional certification is a plus.
