Job Purpose
Provide the second line support and system planning, managing, and troubleshooting of all E-Business Suite systems and all database instances and perform benchmarking analysis to properly size hardware platforms, and maintain technical documentation relating to database management.
Job Responsibilities- Install, configure and support for Oracle databases and Oracle E- Business System environments.
- Provide users with access to the required information when they need it and database is protected and that any chance of data loss is minimized.
- Setup, monitor, and maintain disaster recovery solutions for production databases.
- Manage database space and capacity strategy.
- Manage, coordinate and implements security measures and backup strategy.
- Review & tune complex SQL statements.
- Clone the E-Business Suite from RAC to RAC and RAC to Non-RAC environments.
- Assume ownership of database and E-Business suite related problems; pursue short and long-term problem resolution and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to solve database level issues including availability and stability of the database environment.
- Work with vendors and internal support representatives to gather information, determine and implement resolutions.

- Proactively research and identify database level patches and upgrades.
- Provide advanced level technical support in 24x7 on call rotation.
- Maintain standard operating procedures specifically focused on stable E-Business environments.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts required for database and application monitoring and performance metrics.

Specifications (Qualifications, Experience and Skills):
Education
Specialization:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle Database Tuning.
- knowledge of Tuning and security methods of the overall Oracle E-Business Suite System.
- Knowledge of Database Backup and recovery using RMAN and logical backups.
- knowledge of SQL/SQL.
- Understanding of PL/SQL and stored procedures/pkgs.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux Platforms.
- Working knowledge of Data Guard & Grid Control.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
