Responsibilities:
- The Senior Placemaking Designer will ensure the delivery of Placemaking projects including the preparation of spatial plans, concept and detailed masterplans, engaging with key stakeholders and coordinate the implementation of various placemaking initiatives.
- Design and deliver key placemaking and urban design projects.
- The position will involve reviewing community and consultant inputs, preparing spatial strategies, developing urban design concepts, and writing placemaking related reports.
- Assist the team as needed in pursuing RFPs, RFQs, and other solicited proposals; bring new opportunities to the table as they become available.
- To contribute to the feasibility and design of projects of an urban scale.
- Present and communicate urban and architectural design, urban research and strategy ideas to clients, collaborators and staff at meetings and wider industry events.
Requirements:
- Masters in Urban Design with a minimum of 12 + years of professional or academic experience in urban design or working with placemaking services.
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, SketchUp, ArcGIS, and other design software is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
