Job Purpose:
The Senior Planning Follow-up Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient coordination of production schedules, order fulfillment, and inventory management within the textile manufacturing process. This role requires proactive monitoring and communication across departments to ensure smooth execution of plans, timely deliveries, and alignment with business objectives. The Senior Planning Follow-up Specialist will play a critical role in driving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and update the production schedule based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure on-time delivery of textile products by monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments.
- Ensure that production plans align with sales forecasts and inventory targets.
- Track the progress of production orders from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on schedule.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality control teams to resolve issues and prevent delays.
- Follow up on delayed or pending orders, ensuring that corrective actions are taken to meet delivery timelines.
- Communicate any potential delays, bottlenecks, or production issues to key stakeholders and suggest alternative solutions.
- Provide updates and reports to senior management regarding the status of production and inventory levels.
- Prepare and analyze production-related data, including lead times, delivery timelines, and material requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and stock levels.
- Collaborate with the inventory control team to ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure that inventory is replenished based on demand and production schedules.
- Support efforts to reduce inventory costs and improve stock turnover.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, ,Applied Art or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning, production follow-up, or supply chain management, preferably in the textile industry.
- Experience in managing and following up on production schedules, coordinating with various departments and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes, production flow, and inventory management.
