ChampionX has an immediate need for a
Senior Procurement Representative - Direct Materials role based in
Dubai, UAE. The role is responsible for end-to end RFQ process for chemical categories & executing sourcing strategies for Middle East & Africa region. This position reports to a Manager within the procurement organization.

What You Will Do
- Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant's safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents.
- Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by doing it right the first time and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance to purchasing policy and SOP requirements.
- Lead the end-to-end RFQ process for direct materials (chemicals & packing materials) categories - MEA Region, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Execute regional / global sourcing initiatives, procurement cost saving projects.
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating favorable contract terms & ensuring compliance with company policy.
- Identifying potential supply risks, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring market trends to anticipate disruptions.
- Implement vendor performance matrix for the critical vendors in MEA region & create a performance scorecard.
- Represent & lead the Supplier Quality Management efforts from procurement side.
- Represent procurement function & co-ordinate with cross functional teams for alternative supplier approval process.
- Fostering strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Creates and maintains individual plans or goals that reflect weekly, monthly, and yearly objectives. Actively strives to achieve goals and objectives.
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (business management, supply chain or engineering).
- 6 years of work experience in direct materials sourcing, procurement in chemical or oil and gas industry
- Fluent in English & Arabic languages, both written and verbal is mandatory.
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite & Power BI Dashboards.
Region Details
- The role is focused on MEA region based in Dubai office
- The working hours are standard UAE working hours however may require flexibility to cater to SSA sub region.
- No or minimum travel needed
Preferred Qualifications
- A certification in a supply chain management course is an advantage
- Fluent in speaking French, Spanish and Portuguese language is an advantage.
