|About the role
Senior Manager Product & Development at Al Etihad Payments will serve as a visionary leader, bridging the gap between technology and business needs to deliver innovative, secure, and efficient payment solutions. The role entails owning the product lifecycle, understanding and representing customer needs, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the growth and evolution of the UAE's payment ecosystem.
|What You'll Do
- Define and communicate product vision and strategy for payment technologies and solutions, aligning with Al Etihad Payments objectives of delivering cutting-edge, secure, and internationally compliant payments infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and customers to gather insights and requirements to ensure the payment solutions meet the needs of the UAE's evolving financial landscape.
- Develop, prioritize, and maintain product backlogs and roadmaps, ensuring a focus on delivering value to customers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevSecOps teams to ensure the products are secure, scalable, and technologically advanced, keeping abreast with global fintech trends.
- Lead Agile/Scrum teams by providing vision, direction, and support in the development and delivery of products.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance, data privacy standards, and risk management in product development.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and customer feedback to make informed decisions and improvements.
- Act as an ambassador for Al Etihad Payments, representing the company's vision and products in meetings, events, and forums to build partnerships and promote financial inclusion.
- Should have good exposure on technical documentation (functional and non-functional) and API documentation.
- Write and refine user stories, prioritize backlogs, and support sprint ceremonies
- Define detailed use cases, product requirements, and technical specs needed to support roadmap initiatives
- Create the list of backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives.
- Map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development.
- Update and maintain the list is accessible and available backlog to all stakeholders (particularly developers) to ensure optimized performance and project outcomes.
- Spend a significant amount of time overseeing the actual development of the product. Meet with the team to refine the process, identity areas for improvement, and support the sprint.
|Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in relevant field such as computer science, information technology, information systems or a related discipline.
- Seasoned expertise with over 5 years in technical product management and product ownership roles, encompassing product lifecycle management, roadmap planning, and cross-functional collaboration
- Demonstrable experience in managing products through the entire lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex technology products.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, leverage insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective cross-functional partnerships.
- Adept at managing competing priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate teams.

- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework

Previous experience in payment services is a plus.
