POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Berytech is hiring a Senior Programs Manager. The Senior Programs Manager programs will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of various acceleration programs, covering startups from the idea stage to scale-ups.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:
Program Design and Implementation
- Design and oversee the implementation of acceleration support strategy, objectives, and timelines.
- Ensure the seamless execution of entrepreneurial, business, and technical support initiatives for startups at various stages of development.
- Identify areas for improvement within startup businesses and propose guided mentorship.
- Lead new projects focusing on program design and activities in coordination with the management team.
- Work with Berytech leadership team to identify ways to incorporate the acceleration programs into other business lines.
Startup Support
- Oversee guidance, mentorship, and resources to participating start-ups.
- Review and evaluate start-up pitch decks, advising on investment recommendations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams, including program managers, mentors, and support staff, to ensure cohesive and coordinated program delivery.
- Engage with external stakeholders, such as industry partners, mentors, and investors, to enhance program outcomes and opportunities for startups.
Financial Management and Reporting
- Develop and maintain the annual budget for the department and program activities.
- Manage KPIs related to business development, reporting progress to management and recommending adjustments.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for management and donor representatives, ensuring visibility on progress, budget, and timelines.
- Manage grant programs associated with acceleration, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to streamline the grant application, approval, and disbursement processes.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for acceleration programs.
- Collaborate with the M&E department to enhance monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Overseeing the implementation of the different programs, building on learning and ensuring clear implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning mechanism
- Collaborate on building a robust monitoring and evaluation system to assess the impact and effectiveness of the programs.
Communication and Outreach
- Lead on the design of effective outreach strategies to recruit entrepreneurs.
- Coordinate with the Communications & Outreach Department for effective information sharing.
Supervisory
- Hire, onboard, and train team
- Set expectations and key performance metrics as well provide feedback and conduct evaluations for direct reports.
- Provide a roadmap for employee development and career planning.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Education: Master's degree in Management, MBA, Economics, or relevant experience.
- Experience: 8-10 years of work experience in related fields, with previous experience in entrepreneurship or donor-funded programs being advantageous.
- Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
