Job Overview
The Senior Project Manager role will be responsible for establishing PMO standards within the DMC business and drive all critical business projects. The role will be responsible for program planning, governance and project management. The role will have direct accountability to manage all DMC projects both tactical and strategic. Primary focus in first 6 months will be on launch of the DMC.
Job Scope
- PMO the DMC Phase 1 Go Live
- Developing new project management office policies and processes.
- Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables. Key focus is Phase 1 for the first 6 months and then Phase 2 for 2025.
- Key PMO resource to manage all business aspects of new DMC system project.
- Collaborating with other department directors to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
- Introduce new ways of working, including digital project management tools to ensure efficient running of projects.
- Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
- Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
- Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
- Leading efforts to improve project tracking and monitoring to ensure the right changes are being delivered effectively.
- Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.
Essential:
- Bachelors degree or Equivalent Project Management degree in a relevant field
- 7+ years in a role with PMO or project management responsibilities.
- Accountability: Results orientated manager, who leads by example.
- Must be proficient in MS Office, Visio, and Projects.
- Must have excellent data gathering skills, interpretation skills to analyze & feedback.
- Must be able to make independent judgments based on skills and experience.
- Must be self-motivated and detailed orientated.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Individual must be able to work productively within a team environment.
- Possess excellent problem solving skills as well as keen analytical abilities
- Ability to apply analytical skills to data collected within maintenance to apply to problem solving
- Delivers their work on time, to the minimum agreed required quality and content.
Desirable:
- Masters in Planning, Projects or related fields.
- Certifications on Prince2 or Agile, PMP
- Previous experience in establishing a PMO will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in travel and tourism industry driving core strategic projects is desired
- Professional work ethic: reject setbacks and enthusiastically persist until any problems are resolved, resourceful and innovative in tackling complex issues.
