Study tender documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of technical and commercial requirements.
Evaluate project scope and construction methodologies to align proposals with client expectations.
Coordinate the preparation of invitations to bid packages for suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluate bids both commercially and technically and assist in compiling bid tabulations.
Recommend preferred suppliers/sub-contractors based on evaluation outcomes.
Attend client meetings with Manager to address queries related to commercial and technical aspects.
Provide technical insights and solutions to enhance proposal competitiveness.
Liaise with all departments involved in the estimation process to ensure coordination and consolidation of activities.
Collaborate with technical, commercial and legal teams to integrate inputs into proposal documents.
Prepare a comprehensive synopsis of tender requirements, including terms of payment, insurance, liabilities, warranties, liquidated damages and bonds.
Consult with Legal Advisor to ensure compliance and protect NMDC's interests.
Collate and prepare technical and commercial proposals in accordance with client specifications and requirements.
Pass proposals to Manager for thorough review and sign-off before submission to clients.
Prepare technical and commercial documents following the award of contracts for handover to Project Manager, Project Controls and relevant operational departments.
Ensure seamless transition and clarity on project requirements..
Interact with relevant departments for the review of contract terms and conditions.
Supervise the activities of Proposal Engineers and Junior Proposal Engineers, providing advice and professional guidance as needed.
Coordinate with Estimators and Budget Controllers to assess cost impacts and review estimates before management approval.
Ensure efficient pricing strategies and cost competitiveness in proposals.
Ensure all proposal activities comply with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Uphold NMDC's HSE policies and procedures throughout the proposal lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in a related discipline, or equivalent
Minimum 08 years of related work experience in similar industries
Preferably with dredging and marine industry background
