Purpose

To support our continued growth, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quantity surveying, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. The role focuses on ensuring projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects related to the quantity surveying process at post contract stage, including cost reporting/control, change management, and contract management.
- Awareness of the pre-contract stages and overview to the Budget creation
- Managing the Payment Application process and reporting until certification
- Managing and reporting the variations including preparation of related variation log
- Experience in change control management
- Supervising and reviewing the Tender process, Tender Qualification, Award and advising Client with best tender/procurement routes
- Experience in reviewing and advising on Extension of Time Claims as to the quantum part and cost heads
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate financial reports, cost forecasts, and budget updates for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure that quantity surveying processes align with industry best practices and quality standards.
Minimum Qualification
- B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline from an accredited university. Further studies are desirable.
- Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on high-value and complex projects.
- A minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience.
- Membership in a relevant professional body, such as the RICS, is preferable.
- Strong understanding and experience with standard forms of contract, such as FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or others.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in both spoken and written English.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising standards and quality.
