Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking to hire a
Senior Software Engineer (Python) for one of our partners, a financial services company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, motivate, and coach all technical team members direct supervision and full accountability for the company's team.
- Ensure the team is productive
- Design optimal solutions to engineering problems
- Manage the software dev. (sprint) process (with flexibility to refine the approach)
- Define and follow up on sprint tasks
- Ensure complete and timely delivery
- Be fully accountable for the products data accuracy + coverage, uptime, scalability, efficiency
- Orchestrate deployments & QA (performed by the team)
- Secondary responsibilities: manage or co-manage client integrations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as senior/lead back-end software engineer, or data scientist
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Extensive experience with technical staff management (5-10 people)
- backend (ideally: API products)
- Python
- DevOps in AWS (ideally: Azure too)
- Fluency in English
- Ability to coach, groom, and develop (junior) technical colleagues
- A unique blend of technical skills (OR technical savviness) and people skills
- Solid project management (5+ initiatives in parallel)
- Superior levels of drive, motivation, rigor, and autonomy
- Enthusiastic about the startup environment
- Bonus: passionate about API products, data products, fintech, data science
