Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Solution Architect to join our dynamic Digital Government advisory team in the GCC. This role entails designing and implementing comprehensive IT solutions that align with business objectives and technological needs, driving the vision of the National Digital Government. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required in IT architecture, solution design, and implementation, with proven experience in leading large-scale IT projects and managing cross-functional teams in digital government.
This is a full-time onsite position based in Doha, Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed architectural designs and roadmaps, logical and physical landscapes for platforms and solutions, ensuring they meet both current and future business requirements.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technologies and platforms to meet business needs, fostering innovation in alignment with the National Digital Government vision.
- Develop and oversee end-to-end IT architecture strategies and solutions that align with business goals and the Digital Government technology strategy.
- Present architectural proposals to senior management and stakeholders, addressing any concerns and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Exhibit technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with senior management, business stakeholders, and government entity IT teams to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements.
- Oversee the execution of IT projects across the digital government, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired quality standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of ongoing projects, providing feedback and guidance to ensure successful delivery.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process and technology improvements, driving innovation within the organization.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the business and technology landscape.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge in API management and lifecycle.
- Expertise in microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, Python).
- Experience with database management systems, middleware, and integration technologies.
Preferred Certifications
- TOGAF
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate Level, Professional Level) / Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
