Job Description


JOB PURPOSE:

Contribute to the continuous improvement of ADNOCu2019s Enterprise Risk Management Framework by working closely with Risk Champions and Risk Owners across ADNOC. Ensure the implementation and delivery of the Enterprise Risk Management Annual Plan, including the monitoring and updating ADNOC's Strategic Risk Register. Provide guidance and support to Group Companies to standardize the implementation ADNOC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework across the Group. Identify opportunities for integrating risk management process into key business decision making venues to support the achievement of ADNOC's long-term strategy and short-term milestones. Maintain vigilance to global leading practices in Enterprise Risk Management and propose recommendation to update and improvement the ADNOC Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

u00B7 Facilitate the execution of the ERM strategy through its defined processes and infrastructure as an enabler to achieving ADNOC's Objectives.

u00B7 Periodically review and update the Enterprise Risk Management policies, standards and guidelines in line with applicable global best practices

u00B7 Facilitate the development and update of ADNOC's risk appetite framework for submission to the ELT / Shareholders.

u00B7 Support risk champions in delivering ERM activities across ADNOC Group in adherence with the ADNOC ERM Standards

u00B7 Deploy the right mix of competence and expertise to meet ERM strategic obligations, improving the organization's overall risk culture

u00B7 Assesses the influence of ADNOC's strategy, business planning, performance and existing governance practices to recommend and embed risk management activities.

u00B7 Create and customize ERM training plans and materials to promote consistent implementation of ERM activities and develop ERM resources across the ADNOC Group.

u00B7 Propose updates and reviews of the ADNOC Group ERM Framework and governing documents (such as ERM Policy, Standard and Procedure, Risk Appetite) in line with leading ERM practices, international risk management standards and applicable local regulations.

u00B7 Liaise with other assurance providers in ADNOC (such as Internal Audit, Ethics & Compliance, Internal Controls, etc.) to avoid duplication wherever applicable / practical.

u00B7 Prepare periodical reports to the ELT and shareholder committees providing insightful updates on effective management of risks and its impact on ADNOC's current risk exposure. Supervision

u00B7 Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

u00B7 Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective business objectives. Budgets

u00B7 Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.

u00B7 Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

u00B7 Implement approved Function/ Division/ Department/ Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards. Performance Management

u00B7 Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/ Division / Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement

u00B7 Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.

u00B7 Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

u00B7 Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices. Reports

u00B7 Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal

u00B7 Quarterly contact with the Group Audit Committee / Group Company Audit Committee Chairperson. u00B7 Regular contact with the GCFO and Executive Leadership Team / Risk Owners.

u00B7 Regular contact with Group Company CEOu2019s and Leadership teams.

u00B7 Frequent contact with Risk Champions at ADNOC.

u00B7 Frequent contact with ERM Managers and ERM teams of Group Companies.

u00B7 Frequent contact with Investment and Business Planning focal points.

u00B7 Frequent contact with Function and Division Managers across ADNOC. External

u00B7 Occasional contact with local and international vendors, contractors, and third party service providers to establish relationships or to obtain services.

u00B7 Occasional contact with Government organizations and entities to establish and maintain relationships or to obtain necessary clearances.

u00B7 Occasional contact with internal and external auditors, typically the partner-in-charge.

u00B7 Occasional contact with Industry bodies / professional organisations.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

u00B7 Bachelor Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or Science

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

u00B7 10 years of experience, of which at least 5 years in risk management within the Energy sector preferably Oil & Gas.

u00B7 Implementation of ERM within GCC Professional Certifications

u00B7 Certified or working towards a professional certification in Enterprise Risk Management / Financial Risk Management.

WORK CONDITION:

Physical Effort Work Environment u00B7 Minimal. Occasional outside visits.

u00B7 Normally Air Conditioned Environment. Exposure to prevailing weather conditions during outside visits.
