Job Summary:
- To handle Reinsurance Treaties Renewal documentations, Underwriting support for technical committee, Reinsurance Accounting and supervising all LOB treaty arrangements.
- Assists in Group related activities as required by Group Technical Head.
- To uphold the group ethics, operating policies and to conform with the department work instructions.
Main Duties and Activities:
- Consolidate and review Treaty renewal packs ensuring all necessary documents and data required by reinsurers/brokers for Treaty Renewal process are compiled and checked.
- Actively participate in Treaty negotiation processes and successful placement of RI treaties.
- Ensure timely preparation of all Reinsurance Accounts relating to all Group Treaties such as quarterly statement of account, performance statistics, Adjustment Premium account, Motor XOL Burning Cost, Profit Commission, Non-Marine and Marine XOL cash call recovery, Minimum & Deposit Premium account and Reinstatement statements, etc.
- Provide underwriting support to Referral committee in reviewing the risks referred to by subsidiaries.
- Checks all information and comply with reinsurance reporting requirements for rating agencies, auditors, external consultants, actuaries, and any other related parties.
- Supervises the work handled by Technical Assistant.
- Relationship management with Reinsurers/ RI Brokers as the need arises.
- Shares expertise and knowledge on complex technical and reinsurance issues.
- Executes reports using internal workflows and market information in consultation with superiors.
- Assists superiors in Business Development from Reinsurance perspective.
- Assists Group Technical Head in discharging works related to GIG.
- Discharges any other duties assigned by the Management.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / Electrical & Electronics)
- 10 years of experience in reinsurance industry, GCC experience is preferred.
- Technical Qualifications like FIII, ACII, CPCU / ARe are preferred.
- Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and build reports by paying attention to details.
