Responsibilities
1. Windows Server Infrastructure Management
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring adherence to best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
- Perform proactive health checks, updates, and patches to ensure optimal system performance and compliance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot complex server-related issues, minimizing downtime and service disruption.
2. VMware Virtualization Environment
- Oversee the design, configuration, and management of VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter for maximum performance and resource optimization.
- Perform capacity planning, resource allocation, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal virtual environment stability.
3. Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Implement and manage PAM solutions to secure and control privileged access to critical systems.
- Perform regular access reviews, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to security policies.
4. Microsoft Exchange On-Premises
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange on-premises, ensuring continuity of email services and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the Exchange environment, optimizing mail server performance and reliability.
5. Patch Management
- Establish and enforce a comprehensive patch management process, implementing updates across all systems in compliance with organizational standards.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to minimize downtime and ensure efficient patch deployment.
6. Microsoft 365 Hybrid Management
- Oversee hybrid configurations between on-premises and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality.
- Administer Office 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive), supporting business continuity and user experience.
7. Storage and Backup Solutions
- Manage enterprise storage systems, conducting regular health checks and ensuring data availability and performance.
- Develop and implement/manage backup and disaster recovery strategies, safeguarding data integrity and ensuring business continuity.
- Perform regular capacity planning and health assessments to support current and future storage needs.
8. Storage Networking
- Configure and maintain storage networking infrastructure, optimizing storage performance and data availability.
- Collaborate with network and storage engineering teams to troubleshoot connectivity issues and support storage security and performance initiatives.
9. IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Apply ITSM principles and best practices to ensure efficient IT operations, aligned with ITIL guidelines.
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve incident, problem, and change management processes, enhancing service quality and reducing resolution times.
- Utilize ITSM tools to track, prioritize, and report on IT requests, incidents, and changes, ensuring adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs).
9. ManageEngine Product Administration
- Administer and optimize ManageEngine tools such as ServiceDesk Plus, Desktop Central, and OpManager to streamline IT operations and asset management.
- Configure and maintain ManageEngine solutions for IT asset management, helpdesk management, network monitoring, and endpoint security.
- Leverage ManageEngine reporting and analytics features to monitor IT performance and recommend process improvements.
10. Documentation, Compliance, and Process Improvement
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure knowledge continuity.
- Ensure IT infrastructure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and security best practices.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvements, contributing to operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration with a focus on Windows Server, VMware, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange (on-prem and cloud), and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM), enterprise storage and networking, endpoint management.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ-800 , AZ-801, VMware Certified Professional (VCP)).
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and practices.
