The In-Service Senior Technical Specialist will be responsible for the development of program work products, including but not limited to program timelines, budgets, reports, and other products as identified. In some cases, they may be responsible for an entire program, as assigned by Practice Leadership. They may also be asked to assume the responsibilities of the Program Officer to meet the needs of the program(s).

Your Background & Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills including time management, ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment, and ability to remain flexible while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Possesses experience in developing training content utilizing instructional design models.
  • Experienced in reviewing TLM and designing teaching and learning materials and assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Experienced in conducting Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions on various topics, with a strong focus on pedagogy and best practices in teaching literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience in the early grade system in Jordan is preferable.
  • Experience with online training and coaching for adult learners is preferred.
  • Experience on donor-funded education projects is strongly preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support and assist colleagues.
  • Very good command of English Language is required.
  • Knowledge of effective instructional strategies in in-service, including formative assessment, differentiated instruction, and instructional strategies for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to manage, and coordinate all aspects of curriculum development process, production of teaching and learning methods, quality assurance, and process reporting.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, creative problem-solving, and ethical teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and adjust priorities in a fast-paced working environment to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Effective oral and written communication credentials.
  • Very good command of English Language and Arabic is required.
  • Strong representational and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted work authorization in Jordan.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Support the Deputy Chief of Party and the In-Service team to successfully implement needed interventions that are agreed on yearly workplan.
  • Support day to day delivery of technical support and guidance to the Deputy Chief of Party, particularly in reviewing technical documents and reports.
  • Support day to day delivery of technical support to partners under the leadership of Deputy Chief of Party.
  • Assist the In-Service team with building and strengthening the capacity of MoE officials in performing and implementing the project activities such as but not limited to conducting ToT training and dissemination workshops.
  • Conduct field visits to ensure the quality of implementation across various project interventions.
  • Provide technical and logistical support to the In-Service teams efforts to organize and facilitate meetings and workshops.
  • Contribute to internal / external reports, presentations, program materials, and identified products.
  • Support implementation of sub-awards, contracts, vendor and consultant agreements, and other contractual and procurement aspects under the leadership of In-Service Manager.
  • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities, including data management and analysis as assigned.
  • Track a wide range of information and data with accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform financial administration tasks, including tracking and reconciling program expenses, coordinating payment requests, and ensuring compliance with IREX policies and funder regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a positive and cohesive work environment to achieve shared project goals.
  • Build robust relationships and deliver dependable, responsive backstopping support between IREX HQ staff, field office teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage program communication, including email inboxes, contact information, and written communications as assigned.
  • Assist with new business development tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
