As a Senior Tester API, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our APIs. You will work closely with the development and product teams to design and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring that our APIs meet the required standards for performance, security, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test strategies for API testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Design and execute test cases to validate API functionality, performance, and security
- Collaborate with development teams to understand API requirements and specifications
- Identify and document issues and bugs, and work closely with developers to facilitate timely resolutions
- Perform regression testing and ensure the quality of new API updates and features
- Utilize tools for API testing such as Postman, JMeter, or similar
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on API testing
- Proficient in RESTful and SOAP web services and experience with relevant testing tools
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams
