Job Opportunity: Senior WebSphere Administrator
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Salary: AED 15,000 per month
Are you a seasoned WebSphere Administrator looking to make an impact in a dynamic environment We're seeking a talented professional to join our team in Abu Dhabi!
What You'll Do
- Implement security baselines on Middleware systems (WAS, IBM MQ, Red Hat JBOSS, Apache Tomcat) in line with hardening policies.
- Manage and support application/web servers on Windows and UNIX platforms.
- Administer J2EE-based application servers, including IBM WebSphere (8.x & 9.x), Red Hat JBOSS, and Apache Tomcat.
- Oversee J2EE-based web servers like IBM Http Web Server (8.x & 9.x), Red Hat JBOSS Web Server (6.x & 7.x), and Apache HTTP Server (2.2 & 2.4).
- Set up and manage WebSphere MQ (9.x).
- Conduct backups, restorations, and business continuity rehearsals.
- Prepare environments for Development, UAT, SIT, Production, Staging, and DR.
- Perform stress testing, performance tuning, and capacity upgrades of servers.
- Encrypt web and TCP/IP traffic with SSL and manage certificate updates.
- Administer monitoring solutions such as HP BSM tools and SCOM.
- Implement changes based on user or business requirements without compromising system performance.
- Design and implement security policies in collaboration with Information Security and Network Security teams.
- Submit and manage change requests, and adjust systems accordingly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, identify tools and methodologies for maintenance and capacity upgrades.
- Collaborate with help desks to resolve incidents and issues effectively.
- Monitor system performance to ensure high availability.
