Overview
Naouri Group is looking for a shipping Line Manager whom will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of a shipping line. This includes working with customers to understand their shipping needs, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth logistics, and managing the day-to-day operations of the shipping line.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing strategies to increase business and revenue for the shipping line
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers, freight forwarders, and other partners
- Negotiating rates and contracts with shipping partners and vendors
- Managing the scheduling and routing of ships and cargo
- Monitoring and analyzing market trends to stay competitive
- Ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws related to shipping operations
- Supervising and managing a team of shipping line employees
- Identifying and troubleshooting any operational issues that arise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in shipping line management or operations
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management
- Experience with transportation and technology
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
