Responsibilities:
- Lead the general project management and site supervision of railway signalling systems & equipment, including interlocking, line block signalling, CTC and communications systems.
- Support the Employer in the procurement of the works contract for signalling modernization ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the design review and engineering of railway signalling systems & equipment, including interlocking, line block signalling, CTC and communications systems.
- Advice the Employer in technical issues related to installation, operation and maintenance of modern signalling systems and equipment.
- Oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of signalling equipment and components.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing procedures for signalling systems, including factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).
- Troubleshoot and resolve signalling system issues, ensuring adherence to optimal performance, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project manager and other engineering teams to integrate signalling systems with overall railway infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years professional experience in railway projects in project management, design review, site supervision as well as testing and commissioning related to railway signalling systems and equipment.
- Minimum 7 years experience in a similar position.
- Previous experience with comparable projects in the Middle East region would be advantage.
- Experience in the organization and site supervision relating to the installation, testing and commissioning of a Rail Signalling systems and equipment systems migration of railway lines in operation.
- Experience in Project Supervision and management of replacement of relay and mechanical Interlocking systems and signalling systems by modern computer-based systems and equipment.
- Full computer literacy.
- Excellent knowledge of English Language; Knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage.
- Driving license required in order to perform assigned duties.
