We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Authorities Manager to join our team
Position Overview
To manage authority approvals for a specific site, ensuring the documentation and drawings are to standard. Creating and maintaining relationships with the appropriate representatives for the area.
Core Job Functions
- Supervise and guide the Authorities Engineer and Authorities Clerk in their duties with local authorities e.g., DM, ADM, RTA, TRA, CD, CA, ETISALAT, DU, DEWA, ADWEA, AWQAF etc.
- Prepare the weekly and monthly reports in coordination with the other relevant ALEC departments.
- Prepare the required reports and feed back required by Senior Management
- Update the design and construction teams with the any updated local authority regulations and local orders.
- Arrange all the technical and legal requirements of all permits and NOCs from all local authorities.
- Prepare and control all the authorities documents as per the Authorities Department filing system.
- Prepare and update the new tasks procedure and add it to the authorities procedures manual.
- Attend all the required site meetings as the site progresses e.g., safety, design coordination etc.
- Attend the Authorities Department internal meetings.
- Prepare periodical reports.
- Handle any online user account s with local authority departments.
- Prepare and submit the civil defence file for handing over in coordination with site team MEP and Operations
- Carry out the civil defence inspections in coordination with site team MEP, Operations and any relevant Sub Contractors
- Prepare the project close out files with local municipality engineers to obtain the completion certificate and the final completion certificate.
- Claim all the refundable deposits after the completion certificates have been issued.
- Write the lessons learned and update the procedures manual where applicable.
- Attend all the required exams by the local authorities regarding ALEC licenses.
- Attend all the compulsory seminars organised by the local authorities.
- Assist in administrative works as required by the Company Authorities Manager.
Requirements:
- Requirements
- BSc. in Civil Engineering
- At least 10 years experience as an Authorities Engineer
- At least 5 years working with the relevant local authorities
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient knowledge of verbal and written Arabic and English.
- Good communications skills.
- Good command of computer skills.
