Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Site Engineer specializing in Jetty Construction to oversee the technical execution of on-site activities. The Site Engineer will be responsible for interpreting engineering designs, overseeing pile driving, jetty structure installation, and ensuring the timely and efficient completion of jetty projects while adhering to safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Supervision: Oversee and manage daily jetty construction activities, including pile driving, concrete works, and installation of marine structures.
- Design Implementation: Ensure construction activities are executed according to design specifications, engineering plans, and regulatory standards.
- Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of piling, structural integrity, and materials used in jetty construction.
- Coordination: Work closely with project managers, barge masters, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to marine works.
- Progress Reporting: Maintain records of project progress and report regularly to senior management and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Provide technical solutions to on-site issues and challenges to keep the project on track.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in civil engineering, marine engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in marine works, with a focus on jetty or port construction.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of pile driving techniques, structural engineering in marine environments, and construction materials for jetty works.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Communication: Strong communication skills for coordinating with teams and reporting to stakeholders.
Language:
- English is must.
- Arabic Preferred.
