Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager for our team

Role:

Manage the execution of the project including all interior finishes, ensuring the production, planning, costing, commercial, safety and quality aspects of the project are considered all times.

Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Plan, Organize and manage the construction team for the completion of the project as scheduled.
  • Plan the project execution, develop and establish detailed project schedules in discussion/coordination with the team.
  • Develop the progress reporting requirements in coordination with Planning Engineer.
  • Manage the construction program - Coordinate with the Construction team, Management and Consultants to ensure the Project Progress is as per schedule.
  • Manage subcontractors from initiation to closeout ensuring the work progress is as per the approved schedule.
  • Conduct site surveillance, Meetings, and discussions with the team for the work progress, analyzing the resource adequacy/requirement for achieving the schedule. Implement corrective actions for any variations from the plan and verify the effectiveness.
  • Present weekly progress status, next week plans, potential issues affecting the project progress to the management and discuss/decide the corrective actions.
  • Provide accurate project progress status weekly and monthly.
  • Review and verify the subcontractor payment applications for the completion of scope and recommend to the commercial department.
  • Provide necessary inputs/documents for preparing variation orders/claims to the commercial department
  • Ensure the implementation of Project HSE program and safe work practices in the project.
  • Evaluate subcontractor's performance in Progress, Quality and Safety and forward to the commercial department for future reference. Escalate to the commercial department regarding the bad performance of subcontractor in progress, quality, safety or any other concerns, which needs to be taken contractually.
  • Lead, Motivate, Train and develop Construction Team.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • B Eng, BTEC, ND in Civil Construction.
  • Minimum of 10-years of experience in construction, preferably Fit-out works.
  • Civil Engineer strongly recommended.

Other Skills / Abilities

  • An understanding of contract law and the tendering process.
  • An understanding of building construction technology.
  • Motivation to drive and improve all members of the team on a contract.
