We are seeking a
Social Media Assistant (Part-Time) to support the development and execution of our social media strategy. The ideal candidate will help enhance our brand visibility, engagement, and audience growth across various platforms. This role involves creating and scheduling content, monitoring social media channels for brand mentions, engaging with followers, and assisting with content creation such as graphics and short-form videos. The Social Media Assistant will collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure that social media posts align with ongoing campaigns and brand objectives. Additionally, the assistant will track the performance of social media content and stay on top of current trends to suggest fresh ideas for the brand's online presence.
Content Creation & Scheduling: Assist in creating engaging and on-brand social media posts, including graphics, text, and short-form videos. Schedule posts across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) using scheduling tools.
Social Media Monitoring: Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, comments, and direct messages. Respond promptly to inquiries and comments to foster community engagement.
Community Engagement: Assist in developing and executing community engagement initiatives, such as running polls, contests, and responding to user-generated content.
Campaign Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media posts with current campaigns, product launches, promotions, and events.
Content Tracking & Performance Analysis: Track the performance of social media content, including likes, shares, comments, and overall engagement. Provide regular updates and insights into content performance.
Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on social media trends, algorithms, and emerging platforms. Suggest new content ideas or formats to keep the brand's online presence fresh and relevant.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all social media content aligns with the brand's voice, messaging, and overall strategy.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and design teams to create cohesive and visually appealing content.
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience managing social media accounts or working in a digital marketing environment is preferred, but not required.
Skills:
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) and their respective best practices
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or similar)
- Basic graphic design skills and experience with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Ability to create short-form video content (using apps like Adobe Premiere Rush, etc.) is a plus
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Creative thinking and a keen eye for visually appealing content
- Ability to track and report on social media metrics and performance
