Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker with a strong background in psychology and significant experience in handling individuals with special needs to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of psychological principles and practices, along with a commitment to improving the well-being and quality of life for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the psychological and social needs of individuals with special needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide counseling and support to individuals and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and community resources.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with special needs.
- Conduct regular evaluations to monitor progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions and progress.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in psychology and social work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or Psychology from a recognized institution.
- Valid social work or psychology licensure/certification in Abu Dhabi.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with special needs.
- Strong understanding of psychological theories and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness, particularly regarding the needs of individuals with special needs in the UAE context.
