Job Title: Software Development Enginner

Location: Amman, Jordan

Purpose of the Role

The Software Development Engineer will be required to build and develop complex company solutions from conception to completion of software projects working on different technologies and platforms.The Software Development Engineer works under direction from the Research and Development Manager.This role will require participation in all aspects of the team including the creation and elaboration of business requirements, functional/design specifications, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of our existing products.

The Software Development Engineer will need to learn a thorough understanding of the functionality provided by the company products, the interaction of sub-components and aspects of deployment and integration with third party systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Working under general guidance, autonomously undertake the following responsibilities in a quality and time efficient manner:

Develop mobile apps for Android and IOS using Flutter

Develop interactive web apps using JavaScript, Angular, CSS, HTML

Develop backend service API software using Java

Develop enhancements to existing software products

Ability to follow rigorous Software Development Life Cycles including testing and verification

Ability to interface with clients to analyze and document product requirements, estimate level of effort and translate clients business requirements and objectives into technical applications and solutions

Assist in the design of software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements

Relevant Experience

Experience with UI for Mobile Apps and/or Web Apps

Experience using Flutter or similar cross platform development framework like React

Experience with micro services architectures

Experience with database design particularly MS-SQL, and stored procedures

Education and Experience

Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related technical field

Proven Experience with:

o Developing Mobile applications for Android and IOS

o Developing API services using Java

o Software development using both agile and waterfall methodologies

Experience with the following is beneficial:

o developing smartphone application software

o developing web service application software

o microservice architectures

o Documentation for Specifications and Manuals

Knowledge with the following is beneficial:

o JSON, XML, and RESTful web services

o TCP, UDP, and HTTP protocols

o Real Time Data communications

o Encryption and Authentication

o Vehicle tracking, IOT, Telematics
