Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer in Test, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria to develop effective test plans, encompassing both manual and automated test cases in collaboration with the development team.
- Active participation in scrum ceremonies to efficiently distribute test cases according to the testing pyramid.
- Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities to deliver timely and high-quality features.
- Taking technical ownership of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) for new features in testing suites.
- Continuously researching test tools, methodologies, and trends to enhance existing practices and processes.
Requirements:
We are seeking a dynamic Software Engineer in Test who is a team player with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
Must Have:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related IT discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test.
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience in object-oriented programming languages (C# preferred).
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Practical experience with web browser automation tools (e.g., Selenium / Playwright).
- Good understanding of all levels of the testing pyramid.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, X-Ray, etc.
- Familiarity with relational database engines (SQL).
- Proficient in working with Agile/Scrum software development methodology.
- Experience collaborating closely with product teams to understand requirements and ensure they are met.
- Passion for continuous learning and self-development.
- Fluent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
