Our Opportunity
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with the Software Development Leads to ensure that our products meet our company's standards. You will break down the development process into achievable testing goals and relay any issues back to the development and product teams. You will review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. You will also create detailed and well-structured test plans and cases, estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities, and develop and apply testing processes to meet our clients needs.
You Will
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools, including proficiency in JMeter and Selenium.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved, using automated testing tools like Selenium.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs, including performance testing with JMeter.
- Liaise with internal teams (developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
- Monitor debugging process results.
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
To Be Successful in The Role You Will Need
- 3+ years of experience working as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Extensive hands-on experience with automated testing tools, particularly JMeter and Selenium.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
- Experience with functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good internal and external relationships.
- Excellent command of written, read and spoken Arabic and English.
- Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
