Job Purpose
The production supervisor holds overall responsibility for the correct and efficient operation of the production line during his shift. His main function is to meet set production targets with highest quality and highest practicable efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety requirements are fulfilled within his Shift
- Ensure the discipline of the team to Safety instructions.
- Encourage safe Behaviors are done during his shift and speak up if not.
- Participate in Identifying Safety Risks within the operation area and work with the team to minimize its score
- Responsible for production of good quality product
- Ensure the correct raw materials and packaging materials used for production during the shift.
- Ensure sufficient supply of materials to his area in a timely manner where required.
- Organise with foreman efficient start-up in the shift.
- Meet set production targets for the shift.
- Supervision of all production dept. activities line operation with good efficiency and labour control.
- Provide guidance to a team of production machine operators and line leader.
- Collate and supply data to facilitate preparation of daily /monthly production and productivity reports.
- Compile shift production log.
- Report any machinery malfunctions to Engineering department.
- Monitor the cleanliness and housekeeping of the production areas during the shift.
- Maintain personal hygiene standards.
- Maintain safety standards.
- Report any GMP deviations during his shift.
- Participate in Investigation and Implementing CAPAs agreed
- Initiate change controls to secure business continuity and Implement action Agreed.
- The commitment to implement the SOPs instructions for the required work and to ensure that there is good training conducted.
- Adherence to standards of Data Integrity & ALCOA.
- Good knowledge and command of SAP role and responsibilities as per industry requirements.
Why you
Basic Qualifications:
- In depth working knowledge of processing and packaging.
- B.S of Pharm. Science
- Good English & computer
- In depth working knowledge of bottling and canning plant machinery and services.
- Ability to solve operational problems quickly.
- Good supervision and communication skills.
- Ability to train operators and provide them with right direction.
- Effective communicator.
- One to three years experience in a supervisory position within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Good knowledge and command of SAP role.
