ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.
Objective:
The role holder will have knowledge of the rules, procedures, and in some cases, the principles and practices within the Transport Management System discipline. They will be tasked with selectively extracting, verifying, and compiling objective and measurable data. In some instances, they may determine the course of action based on established principles and modify existing processes and methods.
General Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Transport Management System
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure and customize the system to meet ASMO's specific transportation requirements; ensure that the system is properly integrated with other logistics and supply chain systems.
- Monitor the performance of the TMS, identify and resolve system issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of transportation operations; analyze system logs, error messages, and user feedback to diagnose problems and work with technical teams or vendors to implement solutions.
- Analyze data from the Transport Management System and develop reports to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements in transportation and cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to managing relationships with carriers and logistics service providers; collaborate with the Logistics Solutions Manager to evaluate carrier performance, negotiate contracts or rates, and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
- Provide training and support to end-users of the Transport Management System; help develop training materials, conduct user training sessions, and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to transportation personnel.
- Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
- Implement all relevant IT Solutions department's policies, processes, procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
Qualification:
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role or in Technology Functions.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, information technology, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
- Master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, information technology or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.
- Any TMS-related/other relevant certification preferred.
