Business Unit Overview

KPMG's Advisory practice is one of the largest Advisory businesses worldwide and the major growth area for our organization. Our services are focused on the Finance Function, and we work with clients in identifying and tackling their challenges in Growth, Governance and Performance. Our Advisory teams support businesses as they restructure and expand, whether organically or by acquisition. We help them to become more efficient and provide support as they adapt to the challenges posed by a rapidly changing business environment.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team. The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality solutions that align with business goals. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. This role requires a deep understanding of software design, systems integration, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Only bilingual candidates will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-level architectural and detailed design specifications documents, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Assess and recommend the best technologies and tools to meet business objectives.
• Ensure smooth integration of new systems and technologies into existing IT frameworks.
• Work closely with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather and document functional and nonfunctional requirements.
• Ensure that requirements are complete, concise, and aligned with the overall business objectives.
• Conduct sizing exercises to determine the hardware, software, and infrastructure requirements for the solution.
• Provide estimates for resource allocation, timeframes, and costs associated with implementing the solution.
• Validate and review the solutions to ensure they meet quality standards and business requirements.
• Perform risk analysis and identify potential issues that could impact the solution's success.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development and architecture.
• Recommend improvements to existing solutions and processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Ensure that the proposed solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the organization's technology standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, software design, and systems integration.
• Proven experience in developing functional requirements documents and design documents.
• Expertise in sizing and capacity planning for software solutions.
• Experience with API management and integration.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and Tools (Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in architectural frameworks and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Arabic+English).
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Current residency in Qatar is required, as visa support will not be provided for this contract role.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
